Fleshcreep Simon Wegrzyn meets Swindon at Old Town Lights Switch On

Last night was the Switch On of the Christmas Lights in Swindon Old Town. I had a lot of fun photographing Simon Wegryzn who plays Fleshcreep in this years Panto Jack and the Beanstalk at The Wyvern Theatre. Not only was he a really nice guy he was so easy to direct and was really happy to do anything I asked of him. I am really looking forward to seeing him and the rest of the cast at the Panto over Christmas.

Jahmene Douglas What a Nice Person Swindon Xmas Lights

Last night I was the official photographer for inSwindon at the Christmas Lights switch on. I took some 600 images and I am still processing them and will put up another blog post shortly with my favourite images. But I wanted to put these up and just to say what a nice young man Jahmene is. This isnt the first time I have photographed him but it is the first time I have had a chat with him. At an exclusive pre switch on shoot in his dressing room he even offered to share his food and drink with me. And when back stage after the switch on he made sure that he was looking at me when I was shooting images of him.
To be honest I have never heard any negative comments about him anyway but I guess sometimes you hear that some times when people get famous they change and become diva’s. Well in my opinion that has not happened to Jahmene, he was a pleasure to work with.

Swindon Big Screen and my photos

Hi Guys,

This post is a bit of indulgence rather than photojournalism. Lots and lots of my images are now being screened on The Big Screen at Wharf Green here in Swindon. These images don’t do it justice. I am/was well impressed when seeing my images displayed on such a huge screen. Interestingly they are not even hi res copies, just the normal low res stuff used on the web and yet it looks really good. More and more of my work will be shown up on the screen so please look out for them. In fact more and more of my work is going to be displayed around Swindon in the next few months. So please feel free to give me feedback. Good or bad.

Many thanks for looking.

Swindon Farmers Market Returns

Well for a number of reasons I have not blogged for a while. I have been in Spain for a couple of weeks and since being back I have carried out some photo shoots that I am not contractually allowed to use yet. But I am back now and will be blogging again on a more regular basis.

This shoot was for and about the first day of the return of the Farmers Market in Swindon. The market has not been held for about a year and was greatly missed. The market has now been reinstated and will be held every Thursday from now on.
It was interesting from my point of view as the stall holders were very friendly and happy to pose but it was so good to see how positive they were about the economy and the future. The bread sold out in the first few hours and the vegetables were not far behind either. I had heard that generally people are starting to spend a little more on quality rather than quantity and from what I could see they could be right.

So get yourself down there on Thursdays and get not just fresh but really tasty (yes I did try everything whilst I was there)!!! fruit, veg, bread etc.
