A host of celebs at Jason Vale Superjuiceme premier

Saturday I had the pleasure of being the official photographer at the Jason Vale Superjuiceme documentary film premier at the Odeon Leicester Square. Firstly you just have to watch the film superjuiceme.com it was soooo powerful and inspirational. I have been juicing for a while now but this took it to another level, wow.

Secondly there were celebrities everywhere you turned. It was wonderful. And I managed to talk to most of them and guess what, they were lovely, all of them. I cannot pretend that I wasnt nervous before the job started but as soon as I started shooting, all the nerves went and I just got on and enjoyed it.

If you ever read this Jason, thank you.

Jessie J, Paul Weller, Jools Holland a good weekend at Westonbirt

I spent a very enjoyable and tiring weekend covering the Westonbirt Arboretum Forest Concerts.

Friday was Jessie J, Saturday was Paul Weller and Sunday was Jools Holland. All of the concerts were excellent but for me Jessie J and Jools Holland take top spot. Both were so good and both interacted with the audience so well it just made it them so much better. Paul Weller I have to say didnt interact with the audience very much at all.

It was also very interesting to observe the audience over the three nights. Jessie J was very much mum’s and daughters, Paul Weller was very much middle aged men with hair cuts made to look like that of Paul Weller and quite a bit of drinking going on. Jools Holland was very refined mixed sex, mixed age group.

I took close to 1600 images and found it really difficult to choose which ones to use so these are a fairly random selection from the collection.

All in all a good weekend and lots of lessons learnt being a photographer at big gigs rather than the more local ones I usually cover.

Swindon Town FC hosts Charity Football Match

Had a fun couple of hours at the County Ground home of STFC last night taking photos at the STFC Wiltshire Air Ambulance Celebrity Charity Football Match. It was full of celebrities some of which I knew who they were, quite a few I didnt!!! They ranged from Arge – James Argent, Adam Woodyatt – Ian Beale, Tony Discipline – Tyler Moon, Lee Latchford-Evans – Steps, Iwan Thomas – Athlete and TV presenter,to famous footballers, The Only Way is Chelsea, Towie, and so on, far to many to know but got images of them all. Have to say Adam Woodyatt was great as was his son who was also playing and James Argent who just loved being in front of the camera.

Although the crowd was not huge they were very vocal, lots of young girls screaming, crying, asking for autographs, sometimes they didnt even know who they were asking!!!! but fun anyway.

Importantly they raised a lot of money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charity, well done guys, I enjoyed it.

PS If I have got any of the names wrong or you want to see images of the others please let me know.

Jahmene Douglas and Nicole Scherzinger switch on Swindon Xmas Lights

Tonight upto an estimated 28,000 people squeezed into or as close as they could get to Wharf Green in the Swindon Town Centre for the switching on of the Christmas Lights. Why so many. Well They were switched on by Swindons very own Jahmene Douglas the X Factor finalist. Along with Jahmene his friend and mentor Nicole Scherzinger spent time on stage. Jahmene switched on the lights with the help of several others including many of the local Olympic Torch bearers, footballers from Swindon Town Football Club and the manager of Swindon Wildcats and many others.
Jahmene went on to sing three songs and I have to say he was very good, he sounded as good singing live as he does on the TV which is quite rare these days.
I also have to say that I think I have never ever seen so many people turn out for an event in Swindon, therefore I have to applaud Kirsty Heber-Smith who was the event organizer and compare. And InSwindon for putting it on. Well done guys.

A good night for Swindon I think.
