Matt And Monique Fiddes Foxx get mobbed at Swindon School

This lunch time I spent a lovely hour photographing Monique Fiddes Foxx and Matt Fiddes at the Lydiard Academy Sports day. Matt gave a motivational speech and answered lots and lots of questions from pupils including one young girl who asked Matt if he would be her bodyguard if she became famous. Monique sang some of her favourite numbers and did an excellent job of it, it was sooooo hot out there on the track especially when lots and lots of pupils joined in the dancing.

It was so funny though as all athletics stopped and a lot of dancing took place followed by both Matt and Monique being mobbed by pupils all trying to say hello and/or get autographs. Including one young man who had no paper on him so got Monique to sign his forehead!!!!

Matt is a former pupil of Lydiard Academy which used to be known as Greendown School.

Billy Ocean and Hazell Dean Perform at Swindon Concert

Last night The Swindon Bowl was packed out for the Billy Ocean and Hazell Dean concert. Both were brilliant and sang all their old hits to the pleasure of the audience. And the audience were great. There was no trouble, everybody was really really friendly especially when I was walking amongst them with the camera and they knew I was working for the Swindon Adver. I was getting mobbed myself and felt like a star.

Have to also say what a cool dude Billy Ocean is. Smooth does not do it justice.

All in all a very good night last night and thanks to Swindon BC for putting it on.

Jahmene Douglas and Nicole Scherzinger switch on Swindon Xmas Lights

Tonight upto an estimated 28,000 people squeezed into or as close as they could get to Wharf Green in the Swindon Town Centre for the switching on of the Christmas Lights. Why so many. Well They were switched on by Swindons very own Jahmene Douglas the X Factor finalist. Along with Jahmene his friend and mentor Nicole Scherzinger spent time on stage. Jahmene switched on the lights with the help of several others including many of the local Olympic Torch bearers, footballers from Swindon Town Football Club and the manager of Swindon Wildcats and many others.
Jahmene went on to sing three songs and I have to say he was very good, he sounded as good singing live as he does on the TV which is quite rare these days.
I also have to say that I think I have never ever seen so many people turn out for an event in Swindon, therefore I have to applaud Kirsty Heber-Smith who was the event organizer and compare. And InSwindon for putting it on. Well done guys.

A good night for Swindon I think.
