Swindon Reggae Garden Festival a huge success.

What a success The Reggae Garden Festival was. I so enjoyed it. Not only am I a big fan of Reggae music but I had access all areas to photograph where I liked. I was in heaven (or was that the smoke)!! I really enjoyed myself and I really think the audience did as well. It was a cracking day. Artists included, Solo Banton, Murray Man and The Friendly Fire Band, Tomlin Mystic, Erin Bardwell Collective, Zeeks and AJ.

Well done to all the organisers and The Swindon Bowl for putting it on. It was great.

Retro Fever at Swindon Bowl the audience was ‘jumping’

Last night was Retro Fever at the Swindon Bowl. Fortunately there were only a few light showers and nothing to dampen the spirit of the audience. It was ‘jumping’ as they say. For me Heatwave were the best of the night and they performed ‘Boogie Nights’ twice which was great. The Real Thing were really good as well. Both of these groups are something I like. My time was the 70’s and I love Soul, Tamla, Reggae etc so for me it was great. Alvin Stardust was really good but for me just not the type of music I really like but he was good value for money and the audience loved him.

So another good night for music fans in Swindon.

Billy Ocean and Hazell Dean Perform at Swindon Concert

Last night The Swindon Bowl was packed out for the Billy Ocean and Hazell Dean concert. Both were brilliant and sang all their old hits to the pleasure of the audience. And the audience were great. There was no trouble, everybody was really really friendly especially when I was walking amongst them with the camera and they knew I was working for the Swindon Adver. I was getting mobbed myself and felt like a star.

Have to also say what a cool dude Billy Ocean is. Smooth does not do it justice.

All in all a very good night last night and thanks to Swindon BC for putting it on.
