Swindon Panto Snow White

Well over 5 different days and nights I had the pleasure of photographing the Swindon Panto Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs at The Wyvern Theatre. It was sooooooo much fun, the cast were just great. The Panto itself I never got tired of watching. I also did a couple of the promo shoots where Adam Woodyatt was at Regents Circus and Snow White was at OMG hairdressers to have her hair done.

I took several hundred images over the 4 days of shooting and this is just a very very small selection.

For me a fun Panto season in Swindon.

Captain Hook meets his arch enemy at World of Crocodiles

Friday morning was a very fun and interesting photo shoot for the Wyvern Theatre. We took Captain Hook and a couple of pirates from the Russian Ice Stars Peter Pan on Ice cast to World of Crocodiles over at Brize Norton. What a time we had. I even managed to hold a croc myself (a very small one mind). There were some really really big crocs there and Shaun the owner took Captain Hook and the pirates into one of the enclosures where there were two very big crocs. Needless to say they were pretty nervous as I would have been. The interesting thing though was they (the crocs) were not that interested, Shaun shouted Albert a big male croc over, which duly swam over to them and made out he was going to get out the water and onto the bridge with them. Which it didnt of course. It was so well trained !!!!

It is really worth going over to World of Crocodiles and watching Peter Pan on Ice at the Wyvern in May.

Dame Trot meets Swindon Rugby Club

This lunchtime I did a photo shoot at the Wyvern Theatre, Dame Trot and Swindon Rugby Club. Two members of the Rugby Club met Dame Trot and presented her with a copy of their calendar. Dame Trot (David Ashley) was an absolute star and I laughed from start to finish. After their initial ‘shyness’ the rugby players got into the Panto spirit and played along with it all. The calendar was produced by Swindon Rugby Club to raise money for the Baby Unit Charity at GWH.

I have said this a thousand times but if you have not seen Jack and the Beanstalk at the Wyvern yet you must go. It is getting rave reviews, that aside it is just such a laugh.

Keith Chegwin meets 2 Jacks and 2 Dames in Swindon

This lunchtime I did a photo shoot at the Swindon Wyvern Theatre with Keith Chegwin who is playing Silly Billy, Jack and Dame Trot from the Swindon cast and Jack and Dame Trot from the Stroud company who are also performing Jack and the Beanstalk. It was so much fun and I really enjoyed it. The cast from Swindon made me feel really at home and as though they had known me all their life, it was a real pleasure to work with them.

I love my job.

Swindon GMB in Panto Protest Say No To Postcode Pay

Three members of the Swindon GMB Trades Union two of which were dressed up in Panto gear were in the centre of Swindon this lunchtime. They were there to raise the issue of, hand out leaflets about and get people to sign the petition of, ‘Say No To Postcode Pay’.
This is all about the plans of twenty trusts across the South West collaborating in a cartel on radical changes to the pay and conditions of the staff (as well as cutting staff by up to 15%) and create a regional pay system. The petition is to try to get the Government to get these 20 trusts to roll back their plans and instead focus on protesting patients, staff and the economy.
